  • TallyHo!

Pocketbook came recommended but failed with errors on an Epub book that opened perfectly well in Calibre.

  • Dr. Anurag Srivastava

i could not open outside epub files in aldiko

  • Domi

I use Publiwide Reader to read ePub. It’s the only reader to correctly manage the interaction like drag and drop, popup, … All other reader block the interactions and I really need this because I use it to do exercises (for school) directly in the epub.
The only bad point is that the reader cannot open PDF. But PDF can be open with so much app, it’s not really a problem.
The reader have also a system of annotations really useful.

which one will open both .epub and .mobi? for FREE….and not have to be on-line to access the book(s)? don’t care about .pdf files they are too large for a cellphone or most tablets.
Kindle stores your books in/on a cloud,,that sucks… nook is too hard to find the book you want(needs a better file/search system).
I’m trying Mantano now.. not sure if I like it yet. only opened a .epub file with it.

      Moon+

Here in Canada Kindle (hands down the best free reader, providing bookmarks, notation, dictionary, etc. for free) doesn’t support OverDrive public library loans. Public library support should be a consideration for many users.

For that I’m using Aldiko, which is attractive, ad free, lightweight and fast, works off microSD, and is easy to figure out. Like the others, it’s necessary to purchase bookmark, notation, etc.

  • Devi

Tell me one app that has option as “Go to page”… it’s difficult to navigate page by page when I need to jump to page 50 as soon as opening the file. Also, it should have inbuilt dictionary. Please reply quickly.

  • Abdulbaset

from my RESPECTIVE , i give my vote to the Moon+ Reader which give a great reading experience.

  • Tshering

Aldinko is not good From my experience. the page turning is too slow, there’s no option to change it to scrolling. the customization option is too limited. alreader and coolreader are much better.

  • LEE L

i use coolreader for all my ereading needs, many options to personalize it especially when reading at night. tried aldiko but happier with coolreader

  • Akbar Ali

Thank you. But Poor we are! How can we pay dollar to buy a reader? We can pay ready taka only. Could you please tell me the easy way to solve this problem? Thanks again.

  • Max

These are all great, but none of them let you filter out the stuff you dont want to read. I’m hoping the PureMedia Reader is done soon so I can use that one.

  • DH

Another option is bookbox https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobiucare.bookbox . I need “Send to kindle” like function and it has that feature.

  • hai duc

    DOWNLAOD!

    • Igor

Yeah, this is a different kind of downloading. You must jump, crawl and run before downloading. I know, it seems weird, but this is how that works.

  • Grumpy

Get someone to proofread your texts. The use of the English language is horrendous.

  • anon

I had no end of trouble uploading books to Google Books on my Samsung Galaxy S3. I finally gave up and tried Aldiko book reader instead. Very easy to move both my epubs and pdf books to and very easy to use. I really like it’s versatility and clean format. I would highly recomend it.

I use Aldiko and Lektz reader to access my books in my Xperia phone. Both serve their purposes well in my device. Aldiko and Lektz are user-friendly readers which provides you different options to enhance your user experience. You can side-load/import both PDF and ePub format of books in Lektz reader which is advantage for it.
