Business cards can be converted into a contact profile (with two-sided scanning), and the app features backup to iCloud too. It has achieved a high user rating of 4.7/5 stars on the App Store as it’s packed with just about every feature you can imagine, including unlimited business card scans and manual transcription for any cards that are particularly hard to read.
There’s only one in-app purchase, and that’s for an upgrade at $2.99. That will get you full calendar integration, email signature import, group creation, and more.
CardKeeper App
This makes it easy to organize and manage business cards and store the info on them. CardKeeper can quickly capture your business cards, scan and digitize the detail, and add cards to the address book of your iPhone as Contacts. This app has a user-friendly interface, and you can even use the AirDrop facility of your iPhone to send your own cards to other users of CardKeeper. Most of this is free though you’ll need an in-app purchase costing $4.99 to store an unlimited amount of cards.
Business Card Reader
This app from SHAPE GmbH is an excellent text recognition tool that features integration with Evernote and Salesforce. It enables users to avoid manually inputting the details of business cards and instead import business card contact information to your iPhone contacts with smart contact field filing. It features support for multiple languages, including English, Italian, Korean, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, and more, as well as the optional integration with existing CRM systems, and anti-shake image capture.
It also features two-way syncing with iPhone and iPad. Just about the only drawback is that you are only allowed to process up to 5 business cards at first and then just one a week after that unless you use in-app purchase for unlimited recognitions. Some other features also require in-app purchases, such as BCR Cloud support, Export to Salesforce, an East Asian language pack, and more.

Another highly-rated app, CamCard, looks good and functions well. As well as reading and saving cards to Contacts, it offers the secure exchange of e-cards as well as syncing across smartphones, tablets, and PCs. You can get contact updates, add reminders, and a whole lot more.
You’ll get a healthy amount of 500 card recognitions for free but can choose to upgrade with a premium subscription in-app purchase ($4.99 per month or $46.99 per year). For this, you can also remove the ads and get further features such as Secretary Scan Mode, VIP recognition, and Private Account Manager.
