It’s seems strange that Sharp not considering launching their smartphones for other markets. Japan is their primary market and only few other Asian market see Sharp Smartphones. Not only do they make some of the best smartphones but their custom UI for the Aquos line-up simply looks amazing. One of their latest handsets, the SH530 Dual-SIM Smartphone will be released in China in the near future. Despite the fact that it has a 5-inch screen the smartphone’s hardware configuration doesn’t fit in the high-end category.
Sharp SH530 is powered by a 1GHz dual-core MTK MT6577 chipset and features two SIM card slots. The 5-inch display has a disappointing WVGA resolution of 800×480 pixels. There is 5-megapixel rear camera and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing one. The device features 7.2Mbps HSPA and Wi-Fi connectivity. For applications there is 512MB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory. Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich is running on the device. The Sharp SH530 measures 140×80.85×9.9 mm and has a weight of 176 grams. It will be launching in China soon though no details on pricing or an actual release date have been made available.
