Recently, the number of devices to get CyanogenMod 10 preview builds is rapidly increasing. With manufacturers considering updates to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean for their devices, the popular custom ROM is ahead and users happy with flashing ROM’s can’t wait to put the new Android version to the test. So far, only powerful device owners got to test CM 10 preview builds. The slower ARM v6 platform is now enjoying its first Jelly Bean ports.
Samsung Galaxy Ace and Gio are two of the low-mid range devices that are most popular. They run on the ARM v6 platform and have been shipped with Android 2.3 Gingerbread. No word from Samsung about updates to ICS, though CM 9 is currently in the works for the two devices. More so, the Dev community managed to port preview builds of the upcoming CyanogenMod 10, based on Jelly Bean, for the two devices. The ROM’s are far from stable so don’t expect to use them on a daily basis. Courtesy of XDA Developers, you can download the Galaxy Gio CM10 port from here and for the Galaxy Ace here.
