After HTC One X Wi-Fi connectivity issues, users now reporting another issue, this time with the HTC One S. The problem manifests itself randomly and causes pinch to view homescreens like actions at a quick pace. It is like a button is randomly pressed causing a perspective view of the screens. Some have blamed the radio inside the device for causing the weird behavior. It seems whenever the signal is weak, the device try to boost which causes resonance between the GSM frequency and the frequency of the capacitive buttons on the device itself. Again, like with the One X, there is a dedicated thread on XDA Developers where users are reporting this issue and trying to find a solution. Luckily only a few devices are affected and there are claims that the problem didn’t manifest before the 1.78 update. They are also associating this issue with the one that affected the volume buttons on the Galaxy Nexus and was fixed by Google a while back. We don’t know if HTC is aware of the matter and we hope a software update will make it all go away.
