Back in January at CES Nvidia introduced Kal-El project: the next generation of mobile computing powered by Kal-El quad-core processor (the codenamed Kal-El suppose to replace by Tegra 3). At that time Nvidia told we will start to see Kal-El devices in August, but sadly it’s not gonna happen. After a report posted over fudzilla saying about Kal-El launch “Our Far East sources are quite confident that this won’t happen and that it will launch at later date, probably when it gets colder in the northern hemisphere” Nvidia official statement come as:
Project Kal-El-powered tablets are coming this Fall, and phones around the CES 2012 timeframe.
According to various sources ASUS EeePad Transformer 2 would be the first tablet released powered by NVIDIA’s Kal-El processor. As we thought next Google Nexus 3 Phone should come with Kal-El processor later this year when Ice Cream Sandwich release, seems we have to give up that hope. Even though Nvidia promise to brings Kal-Ei phones around the CES 2012 time-frame, we may have to wait few months more to see products coming in Market. For now enjoy Video demo of NVIDIA quad-core Kal-El projects which shows off all it’s glory:
