I did it last to my wife mytouch 3G. Download the software was fast. The upgrade to froyo took only 9 mins. It’s faster, wi-fi is stonger and the good thing about it. It has hotspot now.
Good looking out guys..! Keep up the good work..

Took forever to download the software didn’t even work sometimes and after 3 hours it didn’t even let me upgrade my phone…

I’ve been frustrated with this for HOURS! Can someone please post some more detailed instructions? I’ve followed everything to the T and it’s not working! When I plug in my device, am I supposed to mount is a drive or Sync? HTC doesn’t explain this and it’s frustrating. I run the Tmobile Update from my Desktop as the instructions say to, with my phone plugged in via USB and NOTHING happens. There is not InstallShield Wizard to guide me through the update on my phone. NOTHING HAPPENS! HELP! I’ve waited too damn long for this!

If anyone’s interested: I was having a hard time with the new update, wouldn’t open, errors, etc. I was using Chrome. I went back (ughh) and tried it with Internet Explorer. The file downloaded and installed fine after that. Hotspot works nice.

Did it a week ago. Works great. Just wish it would have came out sooner.
