Yeah, you heard it right. Google Play Store passes 25 billion downloads.
Google has indeed begun a massive advertising campaign that allows you to download books, apps, games, music, movies and magazines for just 25 cents. Last year, in December 2011 Google announced that Android Market reached the amazing figure of 10 billion downloads from its Play Store for Android. In just 9 month the number has grown more than twice.
Besides Android Application and Games, the new Google Play Store formerly known as the Android Market does also offers services like Google Music , Books and Movies in limited countries but the list increasing. The Google Play Store has reached a record total of 25 billion app downloads and for this reason organized a large discount promotion for the next five days. Like they did last year, Google has announced that titles from Gameloft, Electronic Arts, Rovio, Runtastic and Full Fat will be among the titles which offered only at 0.25c for the next five days. They will be also offering some special collections like 25 movies you must own, 25 banned books, 25 albums that changed the world and our 25 top-selling magazines, all at special prices.
The first batch of apps is now online and you can purchase popular titles like Angry Birds Space Premium of Asphalt 7 for only only $0.25c. The sale will go on for another 4 days so go and download them by accessing the Play Store offers page.
