We all want to protect our investment when buying a shiny new smartphone. Best we wish it is build to take some falls without it breaking (too much). Now of course we can’t expect too much when it comes to smartphone durability but it’s good to know just how much it can take. Thankfully, the guys at Android Authority ran the usual drop test involving the iPhone 4S and the newly released Samsung Galaxy SIII. Let’s see how it went.
Conclusion: You might have heard about the new Gorilla Glass 2 protecting the screen of the Galaxy SIII. It’s fare to say that it does a decent job but is by no means indestructible. This was a hard test and I doubt some of the other smartphones out there would have done better. Got a new Galaxy SIII? Be careful while holding, it might slip out of your grasp.
