Google Currents to be integrated in Android Jelly Bean

I’m sure most of you know about Google Currents. If not, let me tell you that it’s basically Google’s answer to Flipboard. Currents is your RSS Feed reader with a very stylish interface and it works great. Not only does it look good it’s also one of the best ways to read your news, share articles and customize it to show only what interest you. Google Currents recently got an update, following the Google I/O event that made it even better, adding ICS style interface elements and optimizing general performance. Now, you may notice, a small app called News & Weather in ICS. Well it seems that with the Jelly Bean update Google has decided to replace the News & Weather app with the (a lot) more polished Google Currents. The app will come preinstalled on the Nexus 7 tablet while an update will arrive for other devices, like in the Galaxy Nexus and Nexus S it will come as a system app. If you haven’t tried Google Currents I suggest you install it by accessing the widget below.
