While progress on CM 9 based on ICS was advancing towards a stable version, Jelly Bean based CM 10 preview builds were released at a fast pace for many devices. Once CM 9 stable release was available for download the team advanced to the next version based on Android 4.1. The development of CM9 took many months of hard work. But CM 10 version based on Jelly Bean expected to come sooner.
The CyanogenMod Team announced on their Google+ page that starting today version 10 nightly builds will be available for a number of devices. They will still provide CM9 builds, but moved to weekly status (as opposed to nightly) for the time being. The list of devices that get the CM10 nightly builds:
- The US SGS3 variants (note: the Verizon variant will require an unlocked bootloader)
- The Galaxy Nexus variants
- The Nexus S variants
- The Nexus 7
- The Transformer and Transformer Prime
- The SGS1 variants (Vibrant, Captivate, International, and i9000b)
- The SGS2 i9100g
- P3 and P5 tablets
