ASUS Hybrid phone-docking tablet to be named “PadFone”

Last week Asus teases an image of it’s upcoming Android Device with a question of Pad or Phone? When we got the leaked pictures (teasr images of real devices, the above image is a mockup design in courtesy of Notebookitalia) we’ve told you this is gonna be something like a joint Android Phone and Tablet, the idea is exactly an Android Smartphone with docking pad, when you insert the phone in the pad it turn into a full featured Android Tablet. Cool! Finally we got more clue on the subject which revealed the Hybrid phone-docking tablet to be named as “PadFone”.

A Trademark Documents page on United States Patent and Trademark office website suggest Asus applied for PadFone. Though no details are included the document mentioned about “electronic pens for computer touch screens” means the pad will possibly support some kind of stylus technology, we hoope it would be similar to HTC flyer.
