Last Monday Google announced the new version of its operating system for mobile devices. Android 4.2 brings a number of useful features, like Photo Sphere – panning around with your device’s camera to create beautiful photos in any direction. The new Android 4.2 is expected to be available on the new Nexus devices, as well as the older models in the form of updates. While we wait for the latest version of Android let’s see some of the best free apps for this week:


One of the top favorite launchers of all time for Android just got better. We thought that ADW would never get updated but now it has and brought a lot of new features. You now get the UI elements from Jelly Bean and some new features. Above all the launcher is fast and retains the small memory footprint the old version offered.

What’s a home replacement application?
Is a normal android application that will run when you press your android device’s HOME key. It’s what usually people know as the “android desktop”.

Zooper Widget

Among the favorite customization apps, Zooper Widget suite is rather new on the Play Store but it has already won some serious fans. It brings many features, including templates to download and fonts and it comes in all sizes. It is able to display useful info, such as battery level, weather, wifi signal and others.

I’m sure that like most of as you have sensitive pictures or videos stored on your device. Using this app you can hide them and protect them with a password so noone but you can access them. The app masks as a simple Audio Manager and long taping the logo inside the app and inputting the password takes you to a dedicated menu where are your hidden files can be found.
