Adobe Flash Player 10.2 for Android is coming at March 18th

Android Smartphones and Tablets running on Android 2.2 or above and latest Android Tablets running Android 3.0 Honeycomb (Recent Motorola Xoom) is all set to receive Flash Player update v10.2. Adobe just confirmed that Flash Player 10.2 for Android will be available at March 18th. Here is what they said in blog post:

Today we are happy to announce that Flash Player 10.2 will be available for download via Android Market on March 18th.  Flash Player 10.2 is a production GA (General Availability) release for Android 2.2 (Froyo) and 2.3 (Gingerbread) devices which meet the Flash Player hardware system requirements.  It is initially a beta release for Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) tablets which requires Google’s 3.0.1 system update.

Adobe Flash Player 10.2 will give you the enhanced performance and more new features such as:
- Hardware acceleration for H.264 video (Honeycomb only)
- Deeper integration with the Android browser rendering engine (Honeycomb only)
- Improved scrolling on web pages
- Support for HTML and other content composited over Flash Player content
- Automatic soft keyboard support

As they mentioned Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) tablets which requires Google’s 3.0.1 system update to be able to install Flash Player 10.2, if you recently bought new Motorola Xoom tablet you should update it to Honeycomb 3.0.1 which Motorola just rolling out. Note that you have to Unroot and relocked your Motorola Xoom in case you already Root or Unlock the boot-loader. We will give you details how to guide once the update go live.
